Pallets are wrapped. Labels are on. Our Kazakhstan client’s wafer brush order leaves the factory this week.
This is a repeat order from a fleet operator who runs sweepers through Central Asian winters where -30°C is normal and the roads are compacted ice and gravel for five months straight. They don’t buy brushes. They burn through them.
What’s in This Shipment
The order is 6 3/8″ x 21″ poly convoluted wafer brushes. Polypropylene bristle on a steel core ring. Convoluted (wavy) profile — no spacers needed between wafers, which means faster installation and fewer parts to lose in the field.
Each cardboard box holds 30 wafers. The client stacks them directly onto the broom core: convoluted wafers self-space by design, so the bristle pattern comes out even without fumbling with spacer rings. For a crew swapping wafers at -25°C with gloves on, that matters more than you’d think.
Why poly, not wire? Their machines run snow and light debris. Wire wafers tear up the road surface on frozen asphalt. Poly flexes, flicks the snow clear, and doesn’t gouge the substrate underneath. For ice-caked mud, that’s when you reach for wire or poly/wire combo. This client knows their conditions. They ordered accordingly.
The Fit — No Guesswork
These wafers drop straight onto John Deere sweeper cores. Same bolt pattern. Same ID. Zero modification needed.
We also manufacture wafers for Bobcat, Caterpillar, Laymor, New Holland, Kubota, Paladin — the full OEM size range from 6 3/8″ x 21″ up to 10″ x 36″. If your core ring isn’t standard, we cut custom. The client’s first order with us was actually a non-standard 7″ x 24″ configuration for an older Laymor unit. No problem. That’s what our line is built for.
Behind the Pallet — What Makes This Repeatable
This is our second shipment to this client in 2026. They came back because the first batch held up — full season on the machines with no premature bristle loss, no core ring cracking, no wafers walking off the shaft.
We’ve been manufacturing broom wafer brushes since 2002 in our Yuantan facility. Standard sizes start at MOQ 100 units. Full custom specs (non-standard ID/OD, special bristle blend, custom core material) start at MOQ 2,000. We run both on the same line — the difference is just the setup.
Custom orders take the same quality checkpoints: bristle pull-out test, core ring dimensional check, convoluted profile verification. Whether it’s 100 wafers or 20,000, each batch gets the same inspection.
