An airport runway sweeper cassette brush is a replaceable brush cassette used in airport runway cleaning machines from Bucher, Schmidt, Jet Broom, Boschung, and Kupper Weisser. The product is manufactured by Zhenda Brush with slot-type bristle anchoring — the construction that keeps loose bristles off the tarmac.
Airport runway cleaning is not municipal sweeping. The stakes are different.
A loose bristle on a city street is litter. A loose bristle on a runway is FOD — foreign object debris that an aircraft engine can ingest at 150 knots. The brush itself cannot become a hazard.
Runways also accumulate rubber deposits from tire friction in the touchdown zone. These rubber layers push the friction coefficient below the 0.5 safe threshold that major airports maintain through regular cleaning cycles. The brush has to remove rubber without damaging the surface underneath.

Polypropylene bristles handle rubber removal on asphalt runways without pitting the surface. They flex around the aggregate and sweep clean without gouging.
Steel wire bristles are specified for ice, compacted snow, and heavy debris on concrete runways. The wire cuts through material that PP would skate over.

The cassette runs in constant contact with abrasive surfaces at high RPM. If bristles are crimped or glued, they shed.
