Intelligent PV Cleaning for Large-Scale Solar Farms
Utility-scale solar installations lose 15–30% efficiency to soiling. Manual cleaning is labor-intensive and inconsistent. The Track-Type Solar Panel Cleaning Robot is designed by Zhenda Brush to solve that — providing automated, repeatable cleaning at scale.
The robot travels directly on the solar panel surface using rubber crawler tracks. Equipped with infrared sensors, it detects panel edges and performs automatic 90-degree turns to navigate between rows without manual intervention. The rotary brush rollers (1300mm cleaning width per pass) remove dust, bird droppings, and organic debris using either dry or water-based cleaning.
A semi-automatic remote control system allows operators to start, stop, and monitor the cleaning cycle from ground level — no ladder access or rooftop walking required.

Unlike portable cleaning poles that require an operator on the ground controlling a water-fed brush, the track-type robot eliminates human error from the cleaning process. It maintains consistent brush pressure and travel speed across every panel, resulting in uniform cleaning results across the entire array.
