A spiral wound brush roller is a cylindrical industrial brush made by winding continuous strips of bristle material helically around a steel tube core. This model uses copper-coated steel wire bristles on a full-length integrated steel shaft. It is manufactured by Zhenda Brush for deburring, rust removal, descaling, and surface finishing on metal parts and sheets.
The bristle strips are wound in a continuous helix along the core, edge to edge, with no gaps and no seams. Unlike strip brushes assembled in sections, a spiral wound face has consistent bristle density across the full roller length.
That consistency matters. On a rotating roller, uneven density means uneven pressure — and uneven pressure means a surface that looks striped instead of uniform.
Copper-coated (copper-plated) steel wire is a workhorse bristle in industrial surface treatment. The steel core provides aggressive cutting action for rust, scale, and burrs; the copper coating reduces corrosion and keeps the wire tips consistent during use.
It sits between plain carbon steel wire and stainless steel wire in cost and corrosion resistance:
Choose by the surface and the finish you need — not by what’s cheapest per meter.
The shaft is machined as one piece with the roller core. That means true concentricity at high RPM — no wobble, no vibration marks on the workpiece, no accelerated bearing wear.
For production lines running 800–2,000 RPM, an off-center brush is not a quality problem. It’s a scrap problem.

Copper-coated steel wire removes:
It is not a polishing brush. If the job needs a mirror finish, abrasive nylon or a finer wire grade is the right call. This roller is for the work in between — aggressive enough to cut scale, controlled enough not to gouge the base metal.

Every roller is manufactured to your drawing or spec. The factory is in Yuantan, Anhui — China’s brush industry hub — so custom production runs are the standard, not the exception.
What is a spiral wound brush roller?
It is a cylindrical industrial brush made by winding bristle strips helically around a steel tube core. The continuous spiral creates a seamless, uniform-density brush face for consistent surface treatment.
What is copper-coated steel wire used for?
Copper-coated steel wire bristles are used for deburring, rust removal, descaling, and surface preparation on metal parts. The steel core cuts aggressively while the copper coating improves corrosion resistance and tip consistency.
Can I get a brush roller with a shaft?
Yes. This product is supplied with an integrated full-length steel shaft, machined as one piece with the core for true concentricity at high RPM.
What sizes can you make?
Overall diameters from 100 to 300 mm and brush lengths from 300 to 2,000 mm are standard production ranges. Anything outside that is made to your drawing.
What speed can it run at?
Typical operating speed is 800–2,000 RPM. Small-diameter rollers can run up to 4,000 RPM depending on the configuration.
What’s the difference between copper-coated steel wire and stainless steel wire?
Copper-coated steel wire is the economical choice for general deburring and rust removal. Stainless steel wire is specified for food-contact surfaces and corrosion-critical applications. Abrasive nylon is used for finer finishing.
