A spiral wound cylinder brush is a cylindrical industrial brush formed by winding continuous strips of bristle material helically around a hollow core. This model uses copper-coated steel wire bristles and is supplied shaftless — with a bore that mounts directly onto your machine’s own shaft. It is manufactured by Zhenda Brush for deburring, rust removal, descaling, and surface finishing.
The brush comes with a hollow bore (round hole or keyway, per your drive configuration). It slides onto the machine’s existing shaft — no integrated shaft to pay for, no extra machining.

Bristle strips are wound in a continuous helix along the core — edge to edge, no gaps, no seams. The brush face has consistent bristle density across the full length.
Consistency is what prevents striped surfaces. On a rotating cylinder brush, uneven density means uneven pressure, and uneven pressure shows up on the workpiece.
Copper-coated steel wire is the workhorse bristle for industrial surface treatment. The steel core cuts rust, scale, and burrs aggressively; the copper coating resists corrosion and keeps wire tips consistent through the life of the brush.

What is a spiral wound cylinder brush?
It is a cylindrical industrial brush made by winding bristle strips helically around a hollow core. The continuous spiral creates a seamless, uniform-density brush face for consistent surface treatment.
What does “shaftless” mean?
The brush has no integrated shaft. It is supplied with a hollow bore (round or keyway) that slides onto the machine’s own shaft. This makes the brush lighter and cheaper to replace.
What is copper-coated steel wire used for?
Copper-coated steel wire bristles are used for deburring, rust removal, descaling, and surface preparation on metal parts. The steel core cuts aggressively while the copper coating improves corrosion resistance and tip consistency.
What bore sizes are available?
Bore diameters from 6 to 50 mm, in round-hole or keyway configurations. Custom bores are made to your machine’s shaft spec.
What sizes can you make?
Overall diameters from 20 to 300 mm and brush lengths from 50 to 2,000 mm are standard production ranges. Anything outside that is made to your drawing.
Shaftless or shafted — how do I choose?
If your machine already has a shaft, choose the shaftless cylinder brush — lighter and cheaper to replace. If there is no mounting shaft, choose the shafted brush roller for a one-piece direct fit.
